Tour Plan
Day 01 : Arrival - Negombo
When you arrive, your private chauffeur guide will meet you at the airport arrival hall and drive you to the hotel in Negombo (about a 20-minute drive). Afterward, you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 02 : Negombo - Sigiriya
Today, wake up early for your trip to the vibrant Negombo fish market, where you can see daily fish auctions, observe traditional fish cutting by local long knives,
and interact with fish vendors. It is a culturally enriching sight. Afterward, we will visit the Negombo Lagoon for a boat ride, which is known for its rich
biodiversity and is one of the main highlights in Negombo.
Following that, you will be heading to Sigiriya by road. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and take some time to relax.
Day 03 : Sigiriya
After breakfast, you will visit the Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, which was originally sculpted in the shape of a lion. Here, you can admire the relics of
the ancient palace and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Dambulla from the top.
In the afternoon, you will travel into the countryside with a jeep drive or a tuk-tuk ride, immersing yourself in the authentic local life and culture.
You will also have the opportunity to see the beautiful sunset view while sailing around the enchanting village scene.
Day 04 : Dambulla - Kandy
Today's trip begins with the renowned Dambulla Cave Temple, which is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. After that, we will drive to Kandy,
which was the last capital of the Sinhala kings.
If you like, we can make a stop at a spice garden on the way there.
Upon arriving in Kandy (approximately a 3.5-hour drive), we will visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic to admire this wonderful and spiritual place that houses the tooth relic
of the Buddha. Afterward, we will check-in to our hotel and refresh ourselves. In the evening, we will have the opportunity to watch the traditional Cultural Dance, also known as the
Kandyan Dance.
Day 05 : Kandy
Today, your guide will take you on a visit to the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya, which was once reserved exclusively for the royalty but is now open to the commoners
to enjoy the fine collection of orchids, a stately avenue of royal palms, and many other plants and flowers.
Afterwards, you can have some rest in the hotel or venture out to explore interesting places, such as taking a stroll by the Kandy Lake
and shopping for souvenirs in the downtown markets.
Day 06 : Kandy - Galle
In today's trip, you'll get to know a lot about the famous Ceylon tea with a visit to a Tea Estate. You will see how the tea leaves are being plucked and processed, and even
have the opportunity to practice the complex steps involved in production. Later, you'll enjoy sipping a cup of tea produced on the estate.
After the visit, you will be transferred to Galle, which is approximately a 5-hour drive away.
Day 07 : Galle
After breakfast, take a visit to the historical monument of the Galle Dutch Fort, a living heritage site that has withstood damage from humans and nature for more than 400 years. While walking in the fort, you can feel the old-world charm exuding from the museums, colonial buildings and spectacular Dutch churches. Afterwards, you can ramble around on the rampart walls, taking in the fresh ocean air.
Day 08 : Colombo
Transfer to the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo, by train (approximately 3-4 hours) that travels along the coastline. During this journey, you can enjoy the charming
landscapes of the sea and visit intoxicating places, while also having the opportunity to take pictures with the locals.
Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel for check-in and to rest. In the evening, take a trip around Colombo's colonial legacies, which include visiting
Independence Square, the Gangarama Temple of Colombo, and the mile-long promenade of Galle Face Green, among other attractions.
Day 09 : Departure
