Drive through the countryside to Dambulla Cave Temple, then continue to Sigiriya. Overnight: Sigiriya.
Day 3 · Sigiriya
Explore the rock fortress. Choose an optional afternoon wildlife drive in Minneriya, Kaudulla or Hurulu, or relax. Overnight: Sigiriya.
Day 4 · Girithale · Polonnaruwa
Visit Aukana Buddha, then enjoy a village cycle ride and local lunch around Girithale. Overnight: Polonnaruwa.
Day 5 · Polonnaruwa · Kandy
Explore the ancient city before travelling to Kandy via a Matale spice garden. Overnight: Kandy.
Day 6 · Kandy
Visit Embekke, Gadaladeniya, Lankatilleke and the botanical gardens. Explore the lake and tea museum, followed by the Temple of the Tooth and a cultural show. Overnight: Kandy.

Travel via Kitulgala for village or jungle walks and optional white-water rafting. Continue to Nuwara Eliya. Overnight: Nuwara Eliya.

Explore the hill town, then visit a tea plantation and factory. Overnight: Nuwara Eliya.
Day 10 · Horton Plains · Ella
An early visit to Horton Plains for a guided walk and World’s End viewpoint, followed by travel to Ella. Overnight: Ella.
Day 11 · Ella
Tea tasting, free time, Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. Optional Ella Rock hike and an evening local cooking demonstration. Overnight: Ella.
Day 12 · Tissamaharama · Yala
Travel via Ella Gap and Ravana Falls. Check in at Tissamaharama, then take an afternoon Yala safari. Overnight: Tissamaharama.
Day 13 · Mirissa
Travel to the southern coast for a relaxed beach stay. Overnight: Mirissa.
Day 14 · Mirissa at leisure
